Electroless Nickel with All Phosphorus Content Levels

We offer electroless nickel plating in both medium- and high-phosphorus ranges, as the phosphorus content significantly influences the coating properties. A phosphorus concentration of approximately 10% provides excellent corrosion resistance. The wear resistance of the nickel-phosphorus alloy layer (NiP) increases as the phosphorus content decreases. This can be further optimized through specific phosphorus levels and heat treatment, reaching hardness values of over 1,000 HV.

Medium-Phosphorus for Good Wear Resistance

• Phosphorus content: 6-9%
• Hardness: > 600 HV

High-Phosphorus for Excellent Corrosion Protection

• Phosphorus content: 9-12%
• Hardness: > 490 HV directly after plating

Electroless Hard Nickel Plating with High Phosphorus Content

• Hardness after heat treatment: > 1,000 HV
